Willow Acres Farm specializes in breeding compliant livestock well-suited to both herding training and productive small farms.  The Katahdin sheep are a good medium sized sheep that produce good meat, are hardy and heat-tolerant and are calm natured and easy to handle.

Call ducks are very small and can easily be kept in all but the tiniest of suburban backyards.  They are a highly-sought after ornamental duck, especially the unusual colors, and can bring a higher price than standard commercial breeds.

Ducks

Two types of ducks work well for herding training.
Indian Runners work well and are the principle breed used by most herding trials.  They are "egg" ducks, i.e. bred for eggs instead of meat.  They are tall and slender, can move very freely and group together well.  Like most ducks, they do not readily move toward people
The other breed of ducks that work well are the Call ducks.  These ducks are an ornamental miniature breed of duck.  They are very small, not heavy-bodied and can move quite well.  They group together nicely, and unlike most other breeds of ducks, they will move toward people.
