Level 1 Herding Capability Test (Instinct Test) -   DATE:                                                             (fill in)

The Herding Capability Test, Level One is an instinct test and requires no previous herding training on the part of either the dog or owner. The dog should down on command and come when called.

REQUIREMENTS & GENERAL INFORMATION:
Dog must be a herding breed or herding breed mix (neutered). All shots must be up-to-date and dog must be parasite-free. Dog must be at least 6 months old to enter Tests.  Water for you and your dog will be available.  Bring a chair and rain gear. The test will be held regardless of the weather except for severe cold and wind and heavy rain. Your dog must be on leash or confined when not working. You are expected to clean up after your dog.

Directions and other information will be sent to you in a confirmation email or letter.

While attending any event sponsored wholly or in part by Puppy Pals or Willow Acres Dog Training, I agree to assume all responsibility for any damage done to livestock, property or persons by me or the dog(s) I have brought to the event.

I also agree that, in the event of injury to myself or my dog(s), I will not hold Puppy Pals, Willow Acres Dog Training, or any other persons associated with the event, responsible.

I understand that any livestock injured by me or my dog(s) must be paid for at the time of injury. This fee will be paid to the owner of the stock. ($100 per sheep or cost of veterinary care, $5 for minor cuts)

My dog(s) is free of any infectious disease, and is vaccinated for Distemper & Parvovirus and Rabies. 
(Titers for Distemper and Parvo are accepted in lieu of vaccinations.)


RABIES CERTIFICATE MUST BE SHOWN UPON REQUEST.  (Required if your dog bites a sheep.)


My dog(s) is also free of contagious parasitic problems, whether internal or external (including fleas & ticks),
and is free of any contagious skin disorder.
